While not suitable for grinding due to the lack of Elemental effect and moves that can be challenging to land on NPCs, the Spider Fruit can still prove decent if utilized correctly. It shines as an excellent choice for PvP engagements when awakened, boasting impressive stuns, damage, and hitboxes. Regarded as one of the top PvP fruits, its full potential requires a relatively skilled player. However, it comes with high Fragment requirements for awakening, and its raids are moderately challenging.

Unawakened Spider features tiny hitboxes, rendering it challenging to land moves effectively in PvP. Ultimate Thread is an exception, but missing it often results in punishment due to its significant end-lag.
Although awakened Spider boasts impressive damage, nearly all moves require being held to execute their full damage potential, and all moves can be canceled out by Damage over Time (DoT) effects like Venom's poison or Dragon and Spirit's burn damage. This vulnerability is shared with the Dark fruit and any fruit with moves that require holding.
The unawakened Z and X moves suffer from poor range and small hitboxes, making them easy to dodge.
Water inflicts damage, like with all other fruits (excluding Ice and Magma V2), unless the user belongs to the Shark race.
The unawakened V move exhibits high end-lag, leading to potential doom if missed.
Certain moves feature high startup and/or end-lag, such as the unawakened V move.
Easily countered by opponents lacking experience or skill in executing combos.
Requires precise aim for effective use in PvP.
Unawakened Spider is nearly ineffective in aerial combat.
